#If You Could Start Your Game in Any Biome, Which Would It Be?

Imagine your underground adventure starting in the biome of your choosing! It is scaled for difficulty, and the Dirt biome replaces it wherever it occurs naturally in the game, also scaled for difficulty.

I'd start in the Sunken Sea. I think it'd give the game a really interesting new vibe as a starting out point, and you're essentially trapped there until you figure out how to craft a boat. I also think replacing the Sunken Sea with the Dirt Biome as one of the biomes you stumble upon when the wall comes down would be super interesting. What kind of creatures would you encounter if they had to be as strong as the Bubble Crabs or the Caveling Scholars? Imagine a Glurch as powerful as Omoroth!

I'd love to start in the forgotten ruins but from what I've seen, the falling rocks make that impossible 😔 ( 🙏 ing for it to become toggle-able somehow)

Starting in the Forlorn Metropolis. I'd be like looking into the past of what the Dirt Biome used to be.

I'd want to start in the Azeos Wilderness, it's so beautiful and imagine making your farm next to a caveling farmer and having farm wars 😄

starting in the passage would be the perfect start for any masochist

Starting in the passage would end the game for me, even if it was scaled for difficulty haha

Too scary!

Dirt caves: bruh
Clay caves: yes, that’s possible
Forgotten ruins: no natural wood but cavelings could drop tin pickaxes and wood…
Azeos wilderness: can’t mine walls unless I find the ancient pickaxe shrine, but the place isn’t exactly open either…
Sunken sea: impossible, can’t get any blocks cuz limestones unbreakable and there’s no pickaxes I could find. If I spawned ON some specific scenes with boats and fishing rods I might make slight progress.
Desert of beginnings: really open but there isn’t much I can do with the limited resources.
Shimmering frontier: walls too hard…
Passage: I can’t mine these blocks WITH being at that stage.
All outer biomes: might be able to get furnace w/ the dirt in the biome transitions. Fishing could be helpful, but not greatly. I can’t fight any titans as I have no means to re-enter the wall, craft the hologram pod, and make the summon…

XD I just read the description, didn’t realize I overthank it XD I’d go with the dirt biome still- asked on the description gp dosent change much. If we go with no nerfing, I think azeos would be a fun challenge (assuming I have a way to get to the core & fight the titans)

Honestly starting in azeos with some changes to make completion possible would be a cool idea to add

Would be neat to start in a big meadow biome. They're always super small and rare for me in the 4 worlds I've played, so having a big one to start in and base in would look cool.

Easily Sunken Sea, due to my keen interest of aquatic life in its entirety, be it in video games or in real life.

The Meadow biome, would love that to be a huge separate area, like all the others, a whole new place maybe. I find it beautiful and would def start there..

def either meadow or azeos wilderness
when i first ventured into azeos biome i absolutely loved the feeling of if being under lots of leaves with sun shining through
it's very lush and i love the overgrown feeling, it's a really good place to just go fishing and enjoy the environment or build a small cottage next to the water
meadow feels lush and alive in its own way and is something i would like to see more of
meadows are quite literally pockets of sunshine and feel very safe, i just want to spend all of my time fishing there :) also a very nice place to set up a little house
3rd place is a tie between sunken sea and shimmering frontier, the water is beautiful in both
love the idea of building a floating base there, and shimmering frontier is just really nice looking overall, the crystal walls and floor are really well done and i love the crops there, my favorite farmables

Wilderness, easy honestly. It's got some AMAZING Soundtrack and I absolutely love the grassy walls and everything, feels like a dense rainforest and it's so cool

Id start in the desert. I feel like it would be cool to have things start off wide and open as the desert can be, and slowly things get more dense as you progress.

I’d like to start in the wilderness—it gives the vibe of a peaceful starter forest, and I feel like it would be amazing to wander around there before finding your way out to the other biomes.

I’d like to Starr in the Medows mainly because of the animals that are in the area

Azeos Wilderness for me. I just love me a good, shadowy dense forest that is brimming with lush green colors and dense vegetation and is guarded by a cool oversized bird. ❤️

It would be cool if choosing what biome to start in could be like choosing an ethnic background in an RPG. You'd get a different equipment layout for each biome, sort of like how you can choose "miner" or whatnot at the start of the game. Maybe the starting gear for each biome could be unique--never dropped by monsters, so it would have scarcity value.

#

You'd have to scale the areas differently with each game, though, unless you're bringing an experienced character into a new world.
