Out in the passage, a question was puzzling me forever ever since I killed Urshleim, can I farm these creatures?
At first it seemed impossible, as the monsters destroyed basic prototypes easily, and are unfazed by anything in their way!
But this lead me to an idea!
After rigorous testing, I finally made an AFK farm to endlessly kill any Sulfur Worms and Collosal Amoebas!
Overjoyed that this is completely AFK-able, I went lazy and continued to wait patiently.
Puddles of Cytoplasm and sulfuric plants flooded the floor...
Now who's the leader of the Passage now?

how does it work?

from looking at the screenshots this is a 3-stage setup, with the player as bait ...

  • the first outer ring of lava enemies fight the passage enemies.. setting them on fire is the best/wanted outcome
  • any passage enemies that phase through into the inner area, get slowed by the mould floor covered in slime
  • then get blasted to death by the ring of turrets

looks to be at least 32x32 so covering four spawning grids, with the player/waypoint at the central intersection

If you get the chance, could you record it in action or make a video about it? This is definitely innovative and might be the only way to be completely protected in the passage currently

It should have Galaxite traps instead of ground magma slime...
The monsters spawn in a 50 tile radius.
However, we should not completely fill the area up with Galaxite Traps because Collosal Amoebas can die way faster, maybe even before they reach the innermost ring!

So basically what I’m thinking is we alternate gal traps and slime

you can also add materializer turrets

so I just built this in my hardmode world and adjusted for hardmode. if you add galaxite trap and poison traps, as well as an inner perimeter of turrets around the waypoint, it will work in hard mode.
