Hi there, I am not a developer so I can't speak to any of the logistics of how or why the bug occurred, but I do know that all patches and updates are tested, so it is likely that this was not occurring during the testing period.

Nothing has been pushed out yet, and there hasn't been a confirmed ETA, but my understanding is that the devs are out of the investigation window after a potential cause had been identified and that a fix is now in development.

I came here because of the multiplayer issue. With all the amazing feedback from this community, and the amazing work time from the Developer and team I am overly excited for the fix to be implemented into the game. I introduced the game to a few of my friends and I am pleased to say we are addicted to the game. It is a great pass time, and relaxing game to play either all day on the weekends or after a hard work day. I would give this a 100/5 if I could. 🙂

What does that have to do with "pooping on their effort." They did a fantastic job of giving an issue that they weren't even able to replicate for most of the time if ever. That is certainly a difficult obstacle to overcome. I'm in no way belittling the effort of the devs. But to say they would've pulled it off as quickly as they did without this chat is disingenuous. They did great but with how much the community was involved in this one the respectful thing to do is to be open about what caused the issue. Acknowledging that the devs would probably still be totally lost without this chat and Ziino specifically isn't the same thing as "pooping on the devs." They were searching for a needle in a haystack and the efforts that happened here greatly reduced the size of that haystack.

I have one thing to say, patience is a virtue. If you have nothing nice to say then dont say it at all. The team is hard at work putting a fix in place, just because multiplayer isnt working at the moment doesnt mean you have to stop playing. You can play it solo and still enjoy the game. So I quickly logged on to bfs and my accounts, I launched our multiplayer world (my account) and then tried to join from bfs account... it shows no games found when going to the join online game from main screen, however when I sent the invite through the game his account was able to join my world without issue. So the unable to join at all is fixed, but looks like its not searching for available games to join?

Hey @here, we can see lots of people asking about what caused the Xbox Series X|S multiplayer issue and we wanted to provide a little more info for you curious Explorers.

The multiplayer issue on Xbox Series X|S consoles was caused by an issue with the so-called "MPA", which is the data clients need to find and join the host's multiplayer sessions on Xbox.

This issue only happened when the host was in certain parts of the world. Unfortunately, our console developers, our QA testers and the Microsoft certification testers are located in regions that were not affected, which allowed the issue to slip through to the live environment. We are currently reviewing our testing process to integrate remote connections from different regions to avoid similar issues in the future.

One thing that is super helpful for the devs with regards to PC players is if you're able to submit a copy of your game files. This can be done by going into the game's main menu and pressing ctrl+alt+b, which will generate a copy of your files as a .zip on your desktop. This can be uploaded with your bug report to provide the devs with even more info to refer to 🙂

Me and my bf can't join eachother's worlds. When I invite him to play on mine (PC) nothing happens, and when he invites me from Xbox, i get a pop-up telling me to open it with xbox game pass ultimate. Does the crossplay actually work for others or not?

Crossplay between Steam and PC Game Pass works, but only when using Core Keeper's servers, dedicated servers with crossplay are not supported yet

seems GOG versions of the game simply cannot use multiplayer at all atm on the newest update. 1.0.0.7 or worked fine. now we just get connection lost immediately when trying to click join game. You dont even get the option to type a game ID

Since the 1.1 update., have world seed settings changed?
Prior to 1.1 update if you input the same world seed number you would essentially get the same map. Is this no longer the case? Because I just input the same world seed. And there's not a single thing that is the same. Boss locations /scenes all in different areas. Is this a bug or intended change?

Can't get onto any servers of any of my friends even though they can play together. I tried flushing DNS, turning on and off VPN, shutting down Firewalls and security and even a full reinstall. Created my own online game and it lets me in but the character wont move after about 5 seconds and no inputs work.

My wife, my friend and I are truly desperate too. Our first session on the PS5 started rough in terms of connecting. But after 10 minutes it magically worked and we had a blast. This game is a love letter to the open world ARP genre.

But MY GOD we just can't get to play another session no matter how often or long we try. Yesterday and just now we have been spending the last 2 hours trying (&coping) to get connected. It just won't work (My wife can connect easily [same network, duh], but not my friend)

I’m not entirely sure what the problem could be but I’ll talk to the team and see if I can find any answers for you! The only things I can suggest is basic troubleshooting things like reinstalling the game and turning it off and on lol
