How big are your spawn chambers; are they all the same? Also, are all of your slimes/cavelings built in the same chamber? If so, how many spawn blocks have you placed?

Every room is the same, 15x15,
Caveling rooms and slime rooms in the excel chart are a little chaos, you have to put spawning tiles like this

in order to not have any infights, cavelings and slimes are not spawned together
and about spawning tiles, around 400 for each, you can see the complete layout on the right side
all the items scrapped in one night
Assuming overnight means about 8 hours AfK?

It takes 5 hours to fill up every salvage boxes and bug chests
now I'm considering changing my left side and right side to sand and sea sand due to low spawn rate of them
If your spawn rooms are 15x15, wouldn't that be 225 total tiles? If it was 400, the rooms would be 20x20.

update: bomb scarab area survived a night, I'll stick to this design from now on
I couldn’t find any good spot to align the mob farm in the middle of the Desert and Suken Sea; the border keeps jumping around between them, which is kinda annoying.
From what I’ve seen in the loot table, the item drops from Scholar and Sentry are already pretty solid. So, does minmaxing with Crab and Tentacle (which also have a low spawn chance per tile) really give any notable loot that I might be missing?
the location I picked is not perfect, too
but for my experience on this mobfarm
due to sea tentacles and crabs is spawn far more often than bomb scarabs
basically full on sand, and less on sea sand is ok
and have to notice, during few days' testing, bomb scarab explosion still happens, few days a time
except that, nothing break during the process
Yea, I’m planning to build the whole thing in the Desert
but I can not find any solution for the Bomb Scarab, they blew up both conveyor belts and radiation crystals
then there's no crab and sea tentacle
bomb scarabs seens explode when there's something they can hostile in the same screen
which means when it is on low health, there's something spawn in the same screen, it will explode in that second
it's really hard to avoid
except you're using 30+ of mold tentacles on the both side
to stun it to death
I'm not write it in the layout because it's so impractical
when you're getting that point, you're already have a decent mobfarm
I tested blocking them in a separate 4-edged room with the radiation crystal outside, but they still exploded. Or maybe it was because I was there?

being even more inefficient on this mobfarm

it's no problem with sea biome spawn, compared to bomb scarab's spawn

Thanks to Kizu and Alpogu for helping me out, we have now created the same farm but with some slight modifications, still unsure of what's boosing the mob spawn rate but the salvage tables are filling up at least 5 times faster than the original design(I'm scared)https://youtu.be/hLCoSN3956M

inspired by Arisa and Alpogu's modifications, now it's 3 time of salvage boxes that can content more equipments, and place the chests on the front to filter out loots other than equipments to prevent you keep getting them while salvaging

You used the Glass Bridge and Shimmering Water to increase lighting and for decoration, right?
yes, that's pure decoration purpose
But I still can’t figure out the reason why you arranged them alternately like this
is that for some special reason?
because the water beneath conveyers still have its light
I use this to illuminate the spawning room
but the purpose is not that obvious because radiation crystal also light up the room
so it just convenient when you set up your spawning room
easier to measure the tiles

back days, water beneath sea water or lava is much more brighter
that literally light up the whole room with lava
and the whole room with sea water

Hey Kizu, is there any special reason for using 3 columns of 3 Robot Arms here? Why not use 1 or 2 columns to save more space for the center room?
in the latest version, there's only 1 line left
the reason use 3 lines of robot arms, because back in the days, mob has a bug that will teleport mob away for no reason
that's why my center area is surround by a line of water
to prevent zombies breaking in
but in the 1.0 version, at least at the radiation farm, it's stable enough
Oh, I see. So I’ll use one line of robot arms to bring the items to the center room to save more space
But I think that bug still happens, maybe. In some of my old simple mob farms, I sometimes see mobs suddenly appear outside the farm. Not sure why because all the rooms are fully sealed with Maze Blocks
for my observation, because I built large scale mobfarm before, and using mob infight as damage source
when zombies accumulated to a very large size

Ohhh, now that you mention it, I just realized one of my old mob farms that uses the infight model often has mobs appearing outside the farm.
But another model that separates allied mobs and lets them die from the Radiation Crystal or Turret doesn’t have this issue
mob infight type mobfarm seens usually got this issue, when your damage source is not enough, mobs will accumulate
Oh, that’s awesome! This could help a lot of people set up an advanced mob farm
since it's modularized mobfarm, actually only 3 type of spawning room there
so it's not hard to write a setup tutorial

I use the World Edit Command mod, which can copy and paste objects, and it even works between worlds too
that's even more like shapez2 or captain industry

Yes, at first, I didn’t think it would work. I copied the entire mob farm, forgot about it, and created a new world. Then I used the paste command, and boom, it pasted the whole mob farm into the new world just like that
However, there are a few things to note:
- When copying, make sure character is standing inside/near the structure you want to copy before using the copy command. That way, it will copy all the objects like machines and chests with items inside.
- Prepare the area where you're pasting. You'll need to clear it beforehand, I use the "removearea" command with the "-r" option to remove all objects in the area, so there’s no overlap with the original objects when pasting.
- After pasting, objects that were placed vertically might get rotated horizontally, so will have to manually fix them (This is a bug of the World Edit mod).

Today, I finally finished my own mob farm and even added a few personal tweaks
Everything is working perfectly, but sometimes the Bomb Scarab area is still a bit unstable and explodes randomly, so I'm doing some research on that

yea, I’m also suspending the Bomb Scarab area to do some more research
one time, I was driving the rail cart around that area, and a nearly-dead Bomb Scarab popped into my view and exploded 
that's inevitable, I think
