I wanted to spruce up my teleporter and I had some interesting ideas, culminating in this (so far). IMPORTANT NOTE: The finished product will NOT be made of stone bridges, those are there mainly for my convenience and visibility while building. At the end, I'm going to remove all of them and replace them with water under glass. This should lead to a very unique aesthetic.

This build is in creative solely for ease of making a giant empty pit to test stuff (including each of the 6 water types not counting lava because it doesn't appear at all). Once I am happy with it, I will rebuild everything to my actual survival world.

They look like they could be spotlights people stand in during a fight scene

#

The music definitely helps give that feel

which of these do you guys like better

#

or should i scrap this idea and maybe have it between the rings

Both looks Awesome!
But the first just it LOOKS like it belongs there. Plus when you teleport in, your not dodging lanterns if your in a rush.

i actually had to rebuild my entire setup to get this to work

#

even numbered distances are a problem

It's hard to decide! I like them both!

i actually have a theme in mind with this magical circle even though i literally just made it up

#

i have a relevant bible verse prepared even if i can fit it

the top symbol is the alchemical symbol representing the moon and silver.

the right symbol represents the sun and gold.

the bottom symbol represents the earth and i think verdigris is the element, it's like a teal-bluish kinda stuff that naturally forms on copper and things with copper in it.

#

basically, by the end i want the gold to be the dominant color, because as a whole i want the circle to represent "dominion over heavens and earth" which is definitely very cheesy, but i thought it would be cute for a teleporter room

#

tl;dr i want the other colors to mostly stay in their circles and i want the sun symbol to basically be yellow everywhere

quaint pecan
#

also, honestly i might just make this a dedicated teleporter room off to the side

#

just something there to look cool

#

so, i'm kind of okay with lanterns being in not walkable spots

#

cause the main path would lead out to the hall anyways

I think eventually no matter where you put them you’ll learn to avoid them out of habit

wait hold on

#

yeah ok I checked, B all the way

#

it just fits perfectly

#

also I think you should put roof lighting above every circle

quaint pecan
#

also technically in the grand scheme of things, B is actually very lopsided and A is dead center

#

i have been thinking about other ways to go about this

if you want A, try and make it belong there rather than just randomly on an edge @quaint pecan

#

make room for it

quaint pecan
#

i was thinking maybe i could add something similar around the upper and lower circles to really drive the point home

heavy crown
#

well yes but

#

you could still emphasize its central location

#

instead of leaving it there and calling it done

quaint pecan
#

do keep in mind that the design isn't fully finished yet lol

#

there's still a huge blank space on the left side

true

#

btw since i haven't shown it here yet, what do you think of this color scheme for earth

#

i did a bit more digging and apparently the alchemical element associated with earth is "verdigris" which is that layer of green-blue stuff that appears on things made of copper

mm, appealing
