I'm a pixel artist who normally does work in the Terraria modding community, this is my first attempt at the Core Keeper style! 
Inspired by@daring stratus's Passage enemy suggestion, here is a hermit crab that lives in the Passage, disguising itself as a pile of fossils.

Amazing! From what I’ve seen, Core Keeper’s enemy sprites are a bit softer than terraria’s on the edges

absolutely, biggest trouble i’ve had is with outlines. particularly making them too dark
