Grid paper has been essential to planning my more complicated builds!

#

I haven't decided on tiles yet, these are colored just for visualizing it more clearly.

XD I would not be able to do my Celtic Knot Core without having the diagram in PaintToolSAI open as I work, so I feel you on this

So nice to find a fellow who does the same! Planning things on paper makes it less complicated in my mind, totally get that ๐Ÿ˜„

this built with wooden and glass(painted) bridges over shimmering water ... would look awesome

#

teal, deep blue and purple ...

#

mixed with the brown wood ... and maybe stone (or gleam) floor for the 'white' parts

#

the single tile diagonals would be great for the crystal lamps too

This is a great idea and you put incredible detail into it. Here I was trying to design mine from a screenshot in paint ๐Ÿ˜… gonna try your method instead

I went with maze, city, and alien tech walls to differentiate the overlapping squares when the wood bridges wouldn't cooperate but I'm happy with this result!

#

also the map looks crazy!
