Asking this question purely because I went to the movies last night 😆

I went to see a film called "I Saw the TV Glow", which was incredibly strange but really interesting. No spoilers, but it had a super nostalgic vibe to it and then went a direction I did not expect. It's obviously got a lot of allegories in it around the subject of identity and belonging, and I think I'd need to watch it again to really get the nuance of it all.

It was a fun little supernatural horror with a lot of cool 90s/early 2000s references and some great music. I would def recommend, even if horror isn't usually your thing.

BONUS QUESTION: What word do you use to refer to "the big screen"? I originally wrote "at the Cinema" but changed it because I was worried this was just a UK term.

The last movie I watched in a cinema was Avengers Endgame, and I watched it with my family.
In Sweden we use the words "Bio" when referring to the act of watching a movie in a cinema, and "Biograf" which is the name of the building itself.

I'm addicted to the pirates of the Caribbean movies. I just watch them over and over again.

I am a horror nerd, so maybe I am biased..I personally think it is probably one of the best horror films of the last decade. Nicolas Cage was literally perfect in the role as well.

# mossy aspen What didn't you like about Longlegs?

i was into it but it lost me in the last 30 mins, ||i thought longlegs was a great character so as soon as he got killed off i just lost interest|| i didn’t not like it, but the other movies i liked more. i’ve seen a few more movies since and Cuckoo shot up to #4

Horizon: An American Saga Part 1 sits comfortably at the worst movie i’ve seen this year. it’s probably the worst i’ve seen in a few years tbh

I need to watch Cuckoo! I love body horror.

I can agree with you about the ending. One thing that would have made the movie even better for me is if it was another half hour to an hour longer and used that extra time to focus more on the crime aspect almost like a psuedo Zodiac.
