As we approach 1.0, we thought it might be fun to hear about your experiences with the game and which Early-Access update you enjoyed the most (and why)!

For me, it had to be Paws & Claws. I know previous updates had more in the way of biomes and bosses, but I think Cattle and Pets were such a good addition to the game. My favourites are, of course, the Moolin and Fanhare.

We also got new paintbrushes, glass, and a bunch of decorative stuff like the wooden pillars, wash basins, floor pillows, and potted plants, which really upped my base game haha! 😆

Tell us which update you liked the most in the comments GlowTulip

I was really only here for 2 of them (the paws and claws & the shimmering frontier) so out of the two I’d pick shimmering frontier. If I had to guess what the other updates were like I would probably still choose shimmering frontier.

I was here when the beta came out for like 2 weeks, that was definitely my favorite update, mostly because it brought us core keeper in the first place

WOW! You have been with us for a long time @unkempt bluff. The pre Early Access stuff feels like a distant memory now.

Definitely Paws and Claws for me! Mainly because that update is how a friend introduced the game to me;

Friend: “Owlu, they added pet owls to Core keeper.”
Me: “Say no more.” (proceeds to instantly buy/install/play the game)

And now here I am, a happy 500+ hours later 😅

Conceptually the Paws and Claws was best, I started this game a month after that and i cant imagine the game without Pets, rotatable objects or Sledgehammers. :> I haven't dabbled in creative mode yet, but this update seems like it really revolutionized the game.

A close 2nd was the Lunar New Year 2024 update, if solely for the fact that it merged Wall and Ground items into Blocks. I was on hiatus from the game then, so coming back to the Biggest single QoL change IMO was very nice~

It has to be the Sunken Sea for me. It was the update that got me to start sinking more hours into the game and ultimately got me onto the Discord. I went through so many cities because I love the decorations and the music so much. The Sea's ore being called Octarine tickled me, too, having grown up on Discworld books.

it's kinda hard to say for sure since just about every update has added something cool or cleaned up the game a whole lot, but the sunken sea in particular holds a lot of nostalgic value to me already since it was the first time i'd experienced the game entirely blind and i didn't actually expect to run into it. it really felt magical especially paired with the music and glowing water

The Early Access launch. Not only could we finally play the game again, we also could go beyond the circle wall. It's like we just escaped a cage and the world opened up a lot. I played for the first time back when the game was in open alpha and got through everything pretty quickly. Getting out into a big new biome was very special. And using drills to break mold walls was an experience 😂

Also loved Sunken Sea and Shimmering Frontier. Both biomes I absolutely adore.

Azeos’ Wilderness is such a cool biome that isn’t talked about enough 😞 all of the updates for the holidays were really fun to play though, as well as the claws and paws update :) I adore all of the pets and cattle and gives me a new connection to the game that I love

The sunken sea was really such a great update. I remember staying up all night with people in the discord seeing who could get the phantom spark first. I remeber being absolutley stunned at the beauty of the biome. Truly one of the updates of all time.

Its gotta be desert of beginnings for me, cant beat the hype of just watching the last third of the world unlock!

All of the updates have been fantastic, but the Sunken Sea has been my favorite. The other biomes seemed so closed up and claustrophobic, it was wonderful to have the entire open sea to sail and explore! The music is great and the creatures are all that you'd expect with a Core Keeper twist. Then the Desert update came and did it all over again!

I'd have to say that the Sunken Sea was my all time fav, mainly since despite the danger of exploring the place, I found it to be a very relaxing place to explore.
The atmosphere and music of the oceanic cave system was unforgettably nice!

I remember the Open Alpha when I first found the game through Youtube. It was a lot of fun playing it for the first time!
For my favourite Early-Access Update, I'd have to go with the Sunken Sea though because I decided to finally buy the game right as this update got released because the trailer got me really hyped!
I remember playing for way too long :D
