It is with a heavy heart today that I decomishioned our worlds fishing ponds .. ๐Ÿ˜ญ They had served us well for a long long time, nestled in the heart of the old camp. Dynamically squished for space as things grow and evolved around them and new waters were found.

But, with great pleasure I also built and opened our worlds NEW Fishing Lakes. ๐Ÿ˜‚

(and with this I'm out of crystal-lamps for lighting and decoration again, I really do like these, lol)
(and I had to go and kill the hive mother -again- for more of her chests)
struggling to find a 'bush' type for the lava area too? suggestions welcome!

Looks clean!

#

I was considering doing something similar but slightly larger to encourage fishing spots to show up.

#

The asymmetry of the bridge blocks on the lava one did tick my symmetrical tendencies. Maybe you could include some biome specific decor around the edges

#

Love the rod display too, that's an awesome idea

# zinc delta I was considering doing something similar but slightly larger to encourage fishi...

Fishing spots showed up, although rarely in our old zones with a 3x3 pond size. However, I'm hoping we see them a bit more frequent with the newer 5x5 size.

I do see what you mean with the lava bridges, they should be either galaxite bridges OR metal grates. Personally I like the grates over the lava, but it just didn't look right having the + shape glowing. Also like that there was then no-where for Galaxite bridges to belong, so I compromised and that area got both.

I could see what it feels like moving the scarlet bridges over the (stone)mold .. and place the galaxite over the acid? Especially as the stone bridges don't look that different from the stone floors I've used ?

The acid is using desert sand as a border because something freaks me out over the bug-floor texture (not sure what, its just creepy)

yeah, I can live with this tbh ๐Ÿ‘

#

neat trick I've learned whilst doing this .. you can use any-bridge to "sharpen" the edge of a wavy-floor into a more flat/hardcut look from where the floor and bridge merge. Removing the bridge after leaves the floor in the flat/merged shape

#

still got no idea what to use for 'firegrass' in the lava area though. other than the potted fire plant, I can't remember seeing anything that comes close

That is the Halloween/Haunted Hive Mothers Chest

#

Ohh I see

tardy pebble
#

We've got a huge surplus of Hive mother chests in our game as we recently farmed her like crazy to get the BuggSuit for [spoiler-achievement]

#

so I keep trying to put them to good use

violet oracle
#

Thanks for the clarification!

#

Had me thrown for a loop for a second

tardy pebble
#

yeah, either wait for halloween (or force it through the menu), kill lots of buggs. you'll get loads of the summoning idols for easy farming

I like the two starlight nautilus on the pedestals in the very middle

tardy pebble
#

yeah, we've got loads of them too ๐Ÿ™‚

#

keep fishing them up, they do cool lighting when placed on a pedestal

Looks good! I did something similar to Dakon where I made entire biome scenes for my fishing zones

tardy pebble

Dakon ?

I'll share some screenshots when I get home from campus

College courses take soooooooooooo long, hour and a half per

tardy pebble
#

yeah, but well worth it

decided the fishing zone was taking way too much space in the base and wanted to condense it down. The real space hogger was the abundance of chests. So those are now streamlined, bucket near them to show the lake, red-chest for fish, shell chest for valuables ... it's now right above our farm area too, so getting the materials for the bait bench is easy

amazing thank you!

yeah, they're bridges... and they're in groups of three because I needed a solid floor between where the 'bridge piers' are in each section
