this certainly looks cool!
maybe a bit overkill on the number of Titan Chests in one place (4!), the number of working vending machines (6!) and the inclusion of the shop-keeper nuclear battery item, but very cool layout
@obtuse hawk thanks! lol well spotted!!! oops yeah and a full set of radiation suit on the mannequin - technically more working vending machines (9 eek!) due to the ones on item stands acting as the top of the large control screen area either side of the battery... really more for the general aesthetics/idea than expecting inclusion as is ๐
wish there was more to do with the rad crystals once you have them
unless im missing something...
I didn't spot the full hazmat set on the mannequin, thought that was just another instance of 'you' being snapped ๐
Although it makes sense for a room like this .. maybe it could even be split among them all - make the player 'work' to gather it
and then one large Titan chest in the dead centre of the room?
I assume the electric doors have power & pressure plates to open/close?
lol yeah originally i wanted to build a kind of entry corridor decontamination area for suiting up in clinical white. was considering having one at each of the four entrances.
yeah probably far less Titan chests maybe none lol.
The electric doors are pressure plated (they work - dont think they need other power source?) but again not something that you would see spawning naturally i suppose...
probably now need to partially demolish to make it look abandoned ๐
I can't find any use for them either, I also feel sad that once destroyed/collected they stop radiating damage, like they could be an offhand damaging item for example.. maybe in the full 1.0 release
or ammo?!
Having a "fully fixed" entry and a "damaged abandoned" entry would be cool... especially as you have the fixed version, replacing some stuff for damaged stuff should be easy enough ๐
I could see this scene even being used as one of the "Combat Trials" rooms tbh.. very cool
or an upgrade to make a radiation version of each weapon once level 18?
yeah, an ingredient for a damage buff at the upgrade station would be a good use of them!
Ah yeah i hadn't thought of that .... interestingly you only take radiation damage when in the central room so could work well for a sort of late game boss (needing radation suit first)
or win to be able to power up the battery to get addional items in the traders menu when placed?
now i want all the elemental damages!
that too... it's a very neat layout
and lots of visual storytelling going on here ... from the radiation crystals, and that one crystal with larva (geothermal?) under/around it
the 'core cooling' moat of shimmering sea, and the double layering of unbreakable containment walls
I think the electric doors might get enough power from the pressure plate to function
I know the levers alone can supply a trickle flow of power, much like the 'logic lights'
