this is so symmetrical and restful and the color palette is lovely ;u; what floor did you use for the little hallway bit? It looks really cool between the bold desert temple walls and subtle maze walls.

Regular crafted rug painted black over paintable tile in black, over lit tile. I think the lit tile was painted blue, but not 100% on it now.

I am absolutely going to experiment to see if I can get the same effect. it's like the carpet at the bowling alley I used to go to with my grandma.

the painted rugs take on diff shapes with the various colors. So there are a lot of possibilities.
If you look close at the piece that enters into the core area you can see it has a circular outline, this is how the black painted rug is shapped. I had to redo a couple spots since i had tried to drop the carpet on the tile without painting the tile and the shape let the lighter color come through.
