I used QueenUnderscore's Inventory Editor mod (can be found in #1083718088526139443) to render an untouched map out to a radius of 3000 tiles! It is marked as a spoiler for those who do not wish to see anything to do with locations and POI's that they have yet to find.

Has anyone figured out what those GIANT "easter eggs" are hiding? Or is that a "just wait till next update" kind of thing? xD Looks like there's a few with golden land inside them! Or this still might be not far enough from core to even find one... idk

They don't hide anything. They're just fully filled spaces of obsidian walls.
