I used my fastest build (240ish % movement speed), placed the crystal skull, and ran for my life while picking up the bridges on the way xD

Once you span him he will try to spawn outside his arena and follow you

#

But if you go far enough he will spawn back in the arena

#

And he will only target you if you pass by the entrance
