Hi everyone, since so many people have been asking about endgame DPS builds, I decided to make this thread as a way to compile the answers for easy use.

Disclaimer: The calculations here are only done with simple math and testing and it will stay that way until we have a DPS Dummy ingame and/or somebody willing to do the math and factor in all the little perks from skill trees, especially the ones that are harder to quantify, such as the ranged perk that maxes crit chance for a short duration, all 3 soul abilities, etc.

Disclaimer 2: This thread assumes all armor is always reinforced and assumes you have no skill perks, food buffs or otherwise for the reason above.

Current Best Build (This is used for both melee and ranged)

#

This build makes use of the Scarab set bonus, which adds your total thorns damage as a flat bonus to your melee and ranged damage. This works very well with crit as a multiplier, especially with the already powerful Polished Golden Spike Ring contributing to the total thorns.

#
Chest: Scarab Harness (from killing Ra-Akar the Sand Titan)
Pants: Scarab Legs (from killing Ra-Akar the Sand Titan)
Necklace: Polished Copper Cross Necklace (from crafting at the Jewelry Workbench with the "Jewelry Crafter" Crafting perk)
Ring 1: Polished Golden Spike Ring (from crafting at the Proficient Jewelry Workbench with the "Jewelry Crafter" Crafting perk)
Ring 2: Same as 1
Off-hand: Concealed Blade (from killing Caveling Assassin)
Bag: Any (There are currently no bags that affect DPS)```

#

Best Ranged Weapons (Left to right)

#
Galaxite Chakram (Reinforced) (from crafting at the Galaxite Anvil)

Extra Thoughts / Experimental Zone
-Note that the current best build applies to both melee and ranged so you can bring both without losing out.

-Because the Omoroth soul power does so much damage to bosses, you can use the Godsent King Pants Armor over the Scarab Legs and Ra-Akar's Necklace over the Polished Copper Cross Necklace. The Godsent King Pants Armor increases the chance of Omoroth's soul power activating and switching the necklace to Ra-Akar's Necklace lets you keep the Scarab set bonus (reminder that it requires 3/4 pieces to function). You can also do this with melee, Azeos' soul power, and the Godsent King Breast Armor.
