I am currently in the US, but will move back to Hungary in about a year. I want to buy a domain name from OVH, but have run into an issue.
The worldwide site (ovh.com) doesn't have US as an option for country of residence. I tried using the US site (us.ovhcloud.com) instead, but as far as I can tell, the US site doesn't sell domain names.
Because I'm in the US for another year still, I don't have an active phone number in Hungary, and therefore can't sign up on the worldwide site, even using a Hungarian postal address. I've already tried typing in my US phone number when selecting another country code in the NANP (+1 calling prefix), but the system rejects the US phone number regardless. It seems they're quite thorough.
Can US residents not buy domain names from OVH? Is there any way for me to buy an OVH domain name while living in the US? I don't mind paying in Euros as long as I register, especially because I'd be back in Europe by the time the domain renews.
