Is it safe to allow port 53 for DNS in the OVH firewall? Couldnt this be exploited while under ddos?

tl:dr even if you allow something and VAC thinks its dangerous and its also being actively used in DDoS attack, your allow rule is overruled, and blocks are applied for the incoming attack which was using/abusing your self made hole.

so you can allow whatever you want, if its being used against you, the rules is disgarded to certain extend

but you get better results obviously by not allowing dumb stuff
