Today is Women’s day, and this day— I want you all to write about all the women in your lives that you appreciate, love, and Cherish. 🩷🌸

sigh

Ill go first then.

Theres many women in my life that I appreciate, but most importantly— I appreciate every woman in this world.
The one’s who have gone through their fair share of struggles, of all women who did something noble for humanity, of all women who raised their voices against the cruelty and the oppression. I cannot thank them enough, cannot appreciate them enough.

First and foremost is my mom— she sacrificed her dreams for her family, sacrificed so much she didnt have to, just because she wanted to, for me and for our family. Thankyou mom, for all the food you cook for me, for supporting my dreams and our family, for being so generous and loving, I hope you live a long and happy life further.

Second— I appreciate my sister— although my cousin, but my biggest supporter and my first best friend, my partner in crime and someone I will always love and appreciate, for her awesome company, to her compassion and love, to her supporting and caring nature.

Third— I appreciate my 2 irl bestfriends, who constantly show up for me, who always support me on good and bad days equal, who are always there with me— in good and bad times, we share many memories together- of fun and sorrow. I love them both, they are my everything.

Fourth— I appreciate all my online bestfriends and female friends, all those women who shower me with such kind words and affirmations everyday and who stand by me throughout everything, you all are awesome people.

I appreciate @stray sluice . The women around me have not been too kind to me. The women who were supposed to be my guiding lights, and those who were meant to support me never did a great job in doing that.

K, however has been there for me through many tough times and shown me kindness and love that I have never been shown before. I thank her for all the efforts that she puts for the people she loves and cares for. The world is better with women like her.

I appreciate the online frds I made here in the discord server. When it comes to empowerment, usually what most ppl would think is that all woman support each other regardless of who they are, but during 8 years of school, that sort of became a non-existent statement. Most woman in my school were mean, have horrible personalities and just overall extremely fake. To me, I actually did not know what this exactly meant, but as I older i had realised this and now it was too late, I was stuck with them until graduation. More than the guys bullying, it was the girls words that hurt the most(especially with my weight, my looks and my personality). I was at a low point in my life, but then when I joined the discord server, i had realised that i had found the support I need. You guys are the strength that kept me going until my school ended and getting my clg acceptance letter and I wish to continue the same. Happy Woman's day to all of u guys that had been there for me, and I hope that I can be there for u when u are also at ur highs and lows. I would also like to thank my mom. She had done so much for me and sacrifice so much for me, I hope to make her happy and I'll do anything to make sure that she is the most happiest retired woman in my family. I would also like to thank my bestest frd since 6th grade, she has been my ride or die, when I was at my lowest (body dysmorphia), she had been my guiding light to appreciate who I was as a person. I am eternally greatful to her. I may go to a different clg, but i will never ever forget her.

I appreciate, firstly my mother, I've often times asked myself after an argument with her, "what other mother could have been better for me" Fun_KekW and I don't seem to come up with another answer than her. I take a lot of advice from people and stoic believers but her advice seems the most authentic to me, every word she said about any issues I had, still ring in my ear. Secondly, I've to appreciate a crucial friend I had in grade 8, it was when I was the most socially anxious kid in the class that she started discussing fun stuff that I love as well, made me feel comfortable in that class. I never really thought of making friends, I'm fine on my own usually but she taught me that friends are something you can't miss making before school ends. Even till today, though she changed schools, I still message her and no other person than her irl has made me get through stuff I thought would be stuck with me. Thank you for reading this gratitude-letter and I guess we could say, those who care for us, never really wanted to in the first place, it's a person's nature, that person who has shown you gratitude, that person's nature which you have to follow and strive to thrive in :)

I wanna start this off by saying thank you to @stray sluice for creating this amazing form! 💖

And second, thank you so much for being my best friend! In real life, I was never lucky enough to have genuine friends who were truly happy for me when I achieved something. Throughout my entire school life, this was sadly the case—I was only able to make two friends in a class of 40 students. Even with them, there were times when I felt they were only around because they knew I could help them in some way.

It's not that I don’t like helping people—I love doing that! But when you realize that someone is with you not because of who you are but because of what you can do for them, the friendship starts to feel empty. It lacks the depth, fulfillment, and sincerity that a real friendship should have.

But everything changed when I joined this server—and most importantly, when I met K! Meeting you made me realize what it feels like to have friendships that aren’t just surface-level or based on convenience. You made me believe in true friendship again, and for that, I’m forever grateful. 🫂💙 We’ve got this thing called life, and we’ll navigate it together!

Also, a huge shoutout to @crisp siren sis and @viral matrix(Elle sis!!) —you both inspire me so much! Your dedication and hard work constantly remind me to keep going and never give up.

And to @high vale @cedar hare and @rapid sorrel —watching you guys study with such consistency, discipline, and dedication pushes me to give my best, even on days when I don’t feel like it. You guys are a true source of motivation and strength!

So listen up—DO NOT EVER DARE to give up on your dreams! You’ve got this, and I’m rooting for each one of you! May you all crack your competitive exams this year, InshaAllah, and get into the universities of your dreams! Fun_ElmoFire

There are a lot of women in my life that are really inspirational/have inspired me...

First and foremost, like many of the people here, my mom is my #1 best woman that I am so grateful for and so inspired by. She has made so many sacrifices over the years for me and my siblings' sake. She dedicated her life to teaching us, raising us, and making sure we were as supported as possible in our educational journeys, especially the rocky parts with learning disabilities. She taught us that we were not defined by our weaknesses and that we could turn those weaknesses into strengths by changing the rules of the game to be in our favor. She taught us not to be ashamed of our learning disabilities, rather be proud of them because there is so much positive that comes with it. Just because you don't fit the box doesn't mean that the box was the best place to stay 🤍 . We have strengths others don't have, and we should be proud of them and utilize them. She always is my inspiration. I am eternally grateful for her infinite love, her understanding, and her love of learning which is infectious. My sisters are also inspirations to me, each having their own struggles, and owning them. They work hard to achieve their dreams and absolutely no one is going to tell them otherwise. Absolutely stubborn individuals, but it works perfectly for their choice of majors. They already are doing amazing things - I know they have so much more ahead of them too.

I have an auntie (not related, but a name that we give her out of respect and love) who has gone through many trials and tribulations. Despite everything, she is a beautiful person. Always smiling, always laughing. She still struggles a lot, but somehow she always tries her best to make the most of everything. Her constantly moving forward is something so beautiful and inspirational. She is driven by her grief, frustration, and hurt. Restless, and always moving. and always having some sort of side hustle. I am grateful for knowing her and for having her always cheering me on.

I have a friend irl that is an absolute gem. I am so grateful and inspired by her. She is truly a beautiful person. Hanging out with her is like a breath of fresh air and time seems to stop and speed up. She has a beautiful heart and is so smart. Her superpower is her kindness and her love for trying new things. She pulls me into things I would never normally do - but I end up having so much fun and learning a lot. I am super lucky to have her and she inspires me constantly.

#

In this community, I've come to know so many inspirational women. I could never list all of them out. For people I've looked up to, Mirii was really an awesome role model. Super cool and understanding, but also strict and doesn't back down on her values. It was really cool to meet and get to know someone as amazing as her. I feel lucky that I got to know her and she taught me many things about leadership and how to be a caring person. Niko is awesome - a go getter who loves nature and has a big heart. Afton is super fire and I've always appreciated their presence. They reminded me of my love for star wars and were a total super star when they were here. Elizabeth is back from the first days I was in this server - a total goat who inspired us all with her beautiful views (from Norway ✨ ), focus skills, and dreams that she worked to achieve. @fathom thunder is definitely one of those people. I've gravitated to her since we first met~ Shes strong, focused, and full of fire. Her dreams are hard to achieve, but despite that she will achieve them. She is smart and knows the importance of knowledge, and her love of her job and of learning makes her a really special person. @lucid lantern is also someone I look up to. Absolute sweet heart. Super strong, motivated, and focused. She's gonna get that team lead position and she is gonna rock it. I don't know where life is going to take you - I just know it is going to take you far. I am excited to along for that ride 🤍 (if you let me XD haha). @tepid plaza ~ Sorry for the ping~ But also someone I look up to. She is a super strong person who isn't afraid to stand out for putting in extra effort. She cares a lot about learning and making the most of her classes, while also working to build her strengths in other ways. She's gonna do amazing things Heart_Saturn

#

@late dune also sorry for the ping. But another really strong woman who inspires me. Also a pretty cool boss/manager XD. She is currently in a super rough program that keeps her busy and has her taking exams way too often, and she is balancing that with life and work. You are gonna be an amazing brain scientist someday ✨.

#

For people that inspired me and I appreciate greatly in the community (ie, the yunguns)- there are too many to name. Manah, the strongest willed girl I know, is definitely one of them. We very much matched in tora energy - she has a dream and she is going to achieve it. Dr. Manah will be her title someday. She is a kind and beautiful person who spreads joy and comfort to those who know her. @cedar hare someone who doesn't really realize how wonderful of a soul she is. I wish she knew how much she is cherished and loved. Those who don't give her that love were never worthy of her love to begin with - they are very unlucky people. She is so smart, charismatic, strong, and hardworking. She is only starting out, but I already know she has so much more ahead of her - someone like her can't not walk into this world and make it sparkle. Girl. Don't give up. Rough roads always lead to the most scenic of places, things meant for your eyes only and no one else's. @viral matrix another person who probably doesn't really know how amazing they are. So young, and only starting out, and here they are already taking on so many important roles in their university - learning, leading, and building a future for themselves. You are someone I look up to. I know things are rough for you - the path has always been uncertain and hazy - but you have always made it work out. And I know that you will find the perfect things for you - work, internship, education, path. All of it, Inshallah.

@urban ice A super smart person, with a gorgeous heart, a lovely voice, and beautiful character. She is an epic story teller, confident, and strong. I am so lucky to know her. Multitalented with a strong work ethic, I know she is going to do amazing things whatever they may be ❤️ I am always cheering you on! @rocky timber another really strong, smart, individual. She is a natural leader (and teacher!) with lots of heart. Confidence fits her perfectly and I hope she continues to peruse growth and constantly challenges herself. I feel so lucky knowing you and am constantly inspired by you. Keep being awesome my friend 🫶 @tender owl someone I really miss chatting with, but both of us have been busy. The silence doesn't mean I forgot you, or am still not thinking of you. I keep you in my duaas and thoughts always blobheart . I feel like such a lucky big sister because I have seen you grow in so many ways. You really are a beautiful person - inside and out. Someday you'll see. Keep taking good care of yourself and keep being an inspiration. You are awesome. I am cheering you on, always.

#

@grand dove Always an inspiration. Your hardwork and dedication is astounding and all that you have managed to do in your years at uni is a testament to that. I really hope things are going well for you and that you are able to end your years at college with a bang. I am always cheering you on and sending you good vibes. Keep being amazing my friend heart. @solar seal another really strong, amazing woman. Not only that, but a good leader, caretaker, and learner. Life has many rough spots. I've seen you take them on like a pro - trying to take your time with them, trying to make sure to take care of yourself, trying to take breaks, trying to keep your priorities, and trying to keep up with your studies. You inspire me a lot with your maturity and quiet strength in these difficult moments. I am cheering you on my dear friend. You will pass the test this time around. You got this. I know you are going to do amazing things.

@stray sluice @magic quest @cedar hare @mellow geyser @inner kelp @frail needle @spring bison @frank acorn @plain zenith @crude shore @rough jetty @sullen lintel @little mauve @dim elbow @small thicket @obtuse pewter @autumn bridge - even more inspiring women. I could go on for forever but I think I may get in serious trouble with misty atp XD. You guys are amazing. You have all gone through a lot, struggled, and come out on the other side stronger, kinder, and more capable. I have nothing but admiration for you. I would be so lucky to see where you guys go next. I know you all are capable of amazing things and that you will go far. Don't every let anyone tell you otherwise. You guys are awesome 🤍 (I may have missed some people on this list. Please know that if you know me enough, then you are probably meant to be on this list. Everyday in this server is a day I get inspired by you people. Thank you for sharing your awesomeness 🫶 )

as a woman I hate the idea of woman's day because the media portrays it like we have equality like we've accomplished something in terms of being equal and having autonomy, like everything is fine when people around me say happy women's day we automatically imagine freedom equality and power when it's quite the opposite

our bodies are being legally mandated, we are being socially mandated, the US looks like in real handmaids tale now and Afghanistan is well Afghanistan

it's 2025 and a couple of days human egg farms were found
and it's confirmed it's a billion dollar industry

so women's day for what and who? is it really happy? or some sort of corporate and political gimmick to make it look like we're fine and that we don't need to fight more

unfortunately being a feminist is seen as bad and a radical feminist is even 'worse'

we've mixed up the terms of feminism and a matriarch

is me wanting to not sacrifice my entire life for my 'biological destiny' and traditions and wanting other women to do what they want suddenly radical? while japan has politicians trying to force women to have more babies?

women's day for who??????
