Hi there! I’ve realized that I’ve been a little off the road lately with my classes, especially 𝐀𝐏 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐘.

Here are my reasons;
1• I apply the study techniques given by our captain, but there seems to be a problem with my remembering information at times (even when I connect and understand it!)
It could be possible that I’m using the techniques wrong or I’m using the wrong techniques
2• I feel stuck. I’ve listened to study gurus and YouTubers, countless amount of them for many times. I even tried to pick up habits of discipline and self care (which is not working btw)

I came to the conclusion that only I can help myself during my study journey, since I know myself best; however, I’m the one who doesn’t know what to do!

This makes me feel hopeless and as if there is no solution to my problem, and I need help.

3• I’m writing this because I don’t have a lot of people to talk to in real life either. It goes back to the second reason, they give me empty advices like “believe in yourself!” Or “don’t give up!” But they never truly explain what to exactly do to achieve academic success. If I am not told what to do, I’m lost. I’ve been codependent in a lot of things, and now I cannot stand on my own.

I need actual help, and not pity. I’ve been looking for an answer to my pain for a very long time, so ANY ADVICE will be taken.. I mean ANY.

With some of the concepts that you are studying, do you understand them in a way to teach them? Record yourself teaching them (even if it is only to yourself). Get creative with it. Also, are there practice tests that you can take to know what areas to focus on more? This can be aimed toward the areas you can record yourself teaching.

Most importantly, don't be so hard on yourself. Take a moment and reaffirm to yourself that you are doing great. Keep pushing. You got this.

Although I’ve tried Feynman technique before and it has worked for me, it’s unreliable. Hypothetically, I think I know my stuff, but then there are some information that are wrong, and I act like I’m teaching it to someone. What will I do when the wrong information sticks to me? On top of that, I’ve downloaded many apps and gone to many websites (like Brainly) to help me with homework and comprehension if I couldn’t help myself (most of the tests, especially FRQ that I find do not have answer keys or explanations, which makes things really difficult because I cannot confirm whether I’m right or wrong, leading to worry and frustration).

You say that you've listened to countless study gurus and Youtubers for advice, but nothing's helping. How long are you legitimately applying the processes/tips that you're learning? It's one thing to comb through advice in hopes of something helping you or having some sort of magic key, but it's another situation if you're actually applying what is given to you for more than a short amount of time, then processing what works and what doesn't work.
