I was thinking that a new submarine feature could be a towed sonar. Similar to a heli it could be deployed, trailing behind the sub, with the function of increasing passive sonar range with the downside being speed reduction. This could be great feature for a new submarine that has missiles, allowing it to see more while submerged. At the same time this also would balance this new sub as it is relatively vulnerable due to its slow speed with the towed sonar deployed. Opinions?

One of the main qualitative reasons for towed sonar arrays is the phenomenon known as "baffles" which limits what a submarine could otherwise see directly behind it.
we plan to add "baffles" in a future update, at which point towed sonar would also be cool to have
I'm not certain the extent to which we should try to render the towed sonar array, though 😂
Great to hear, the "baffles" update sounds nice
I was thinking that it either looks like a yellow torp trailing behind
Or like a "fat" torp trailing behind
Thanks for the quick response and keep up the great work with mk and kiomet!
