I've done it to BG3 before, but cannot get it to work with AFoP. I'm using NinjaRipper 1.7.1.

It creates the folders and all, just won't get the actual files, so I'm wondering if they have something preventing it

Only some, I believe! I have a list of their locations on a notepad I found from somewhere, iirc called FileLocations or something similar. I won't be able to send it until Sunday (and it's probably too big for Discord anyway), so if you need it I suggest trying to find it online or asking someone else. However, I don't think you're gonna need it unless you start modding yourself, mods usually have download instructions that include the path.

It shouldn't happen :) You won't need to delete, move or replace any files, just add/create new ones that will be easy to delete should something go wrong

An example - here's the game. All the mods go into the "blue" folder, which includes only mods and most players need to create themselves

just wanna ask you guys this because you guys play around with modding so much. In your opinion will AFoP can be like Skyrim in 10 years? I mean where it is heavily modded with things that are not in the game in the first place.

[LONG VERSION] It's definitely possible... I would love to see it happen, personally, but the thing with Skyrim is that the studio that created it [Bethesda] heavily supports modding, especially back then, while Ubisoft does not. Ubisoft is against it because they love microtransactions. That's why Skyrim's modding community grew so much in the last 1 0 years; plus it was fairly more straightforward to create more elaborate mods such as animations compared to this game. Adding to this.. When Skyrim started, it was [in a way] a giant sandbox where the player wasn't constrained mechanically.. to think you had access to 3rd and 1st person playstyle as well as a massive selection of weapons/locations/quests in the base game, modding grew to the point of being able to add new quests, locations, customization, etc. The good news is that this game is still a baby. the modding community for this game has infinite potential 😄 [SHORT VERSION] yes.
