#Requesting Third-Person Mode
32 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
personally i don’t care for third person, and find first person great. BUT since the third person glitch was COOL and POSSIBLE, shouldn’t an actual third person mode be possible?
yea i prefer first person but sometimes third person comes in handy
yesyeysyeysysyes
I would love a option to choose 3rd person mode
Mainly to see my navi without going into photo mode
Ubisft devs clearly stated even be for game release that third person mode is not going be implemented, only options are while mounted the ride.
I hope they give this 3rd person glitch back or build it into a real 3rd person mode since most of the animations are already there, and aside from gathering things that require finesse, climbing vines and yanking RDA pilot's out of their AMPs, the game was already playable in third person. I loved that glitch, it was so lovely to see my custom na'vi character in her outfit, climbing, running, leaning to push past plants over her head, while I explored on foot. Seeing her idle animations: while armed: she would inspect her weapons, or while unarmed: looking around like a distracted kitty 😺. And I loved being able to see my character's tail move depending on what I was doing💙💙💙! Even though the aim dot/cursor was kinda blocked by my character, I could crouch to move her a bit out of the way of the dot, still fight the RDA in 3rd person because actually seeing my character draw on her bow looked so cool. This game is so pretty, and being able to actually see my na'vi character in action, unmounted and outside of photo mode made playing feel much better ✨️
Yes, my thoughts exactly! ✨ I found third person MUCH more immersive — I felt more connected to Pandora, and my Na’vi.
I suggested (in the feedback thread I linked) that they could give us third person mode as-is, and just force first person for those glitchy interactions, and shift the camera perspective to the side to help with aiming. And in the meantime give us back the glitch — it was so much fun! 💔
I wish I've got to try it out
me too! as long as there’s a toggle between third and first person, then i’m happy.
Thank you for making that request and linking it✨️Your idea is excellent! (I haven't unlocked the ability to give reactions yet so here is my 💙)
does the 3rd person view glitch still work as of now? or did they fix it
Unfortunately, they removed it 💔
We’re hoping to get it back, or a real third-person mode
i tried it once and somehow it worked but i dont remember what i pressed, it happened so fast
but i cant seem to do it again
Its probably hard for them to add 3rd person mode, but getting the glitch back would be fun until then
Not going to happen ! And Ubisoft made it clear they do not want that in they game !
thought so
I think Tonto has a personal vendetta against 3rd person mode in this game for some reason — they seem to stalk all posts and comments about it to make negative remarks. Which I find bizarre, it would be an option, they wouldn’t have to use it.
The only thing I read from Ubisoft about 3rd person is from early development, how it would be hard to develop two modes (which we saw with the glitch is already like 90% done, more if they used 1st person for interactions) and that they went with 1st person because they thought it would be more immersive — which is a matter of opinion. Personally, I immediately felt more connected to Pandora in 3rd person.
It’s OK for people to like 3rd person, and to let the Dev’s know!
I really want 3rd person in this game aswell, like you said it's 90% already there why not just add it or at least bring the bug back,i ll even take when you run being 3rd person and when you shoot or aim go back to first, but let us see our character.
⬆️💙💙💙

lmfao i had to double check and i think tonto might hate third person mode idk guys what do you think? 😂
love that for you
🖕🖕🖕🖕U
did you add an extra one
Thank you! I knew something was up, lol 😂
Tonto has some strong beliefs, specifically no 3rd person in Avatar
Being able to pan the camera around our character while in 3rd person would also be lovely too, and help with photo setup, like it already does while mounted.
Yes, that would be great!
