  1. Fireing 1st shot with bow instantly have all RDA after me and take me down.🏹

  2. They can shot me at loooong distance but I cant.😪

  3. Takes long time for guards marker to go white from red. Most part stays yellow(looking for me), even staying hidden behind rock.

I dont know how to survive combat in AFOP. I loved the stealth of farcry and missing it in afop.

I am still too early in game maybe 4-5 hours play time. Just manage to capture 2nd rda (gas harvester alpha) after 4-5 hours of being killed and retrying.

If it's the main facilities, like the ones with walls and a lot of rda avoid killing. But if it's for the ones with no walls and a few rda soldiers it's best to take out ones that are further from the group (humans first, because they can be one shot) to avoid alerting the others that something is wrong. Also make sure your combat level is equal or higher than the rda thing that you are combating, since if you are lower the damage you do will be much less than if you were equal or higher. For rda with amp suits (if there are) kill the ones that don't have glass protecting them because if you aim at the human it one shots it.

Most of the time there are just two enemies next to each other. If it's two humans, you have enough time to kill them both with a longbow before combat starts. If it's an AMP and a human, shoot the AMP in the back with your heavy bow (should oneshot it) and then switch to the longbow and kill the human. If it's two AMPS, use the sling to lay down a mine near them and then a lure on top of the mine to make them check it out

Also use the meat skewer cookables to ensure those oneshots

Thanks for making this thread. The gas harvester alpha I must have spent 4 hours on, and I even changed my combat level to low. I was failing miserably at being stealthy...but @fathom reef Carni, that is very useful advice, thank you.

What I did was first pick off any RDA outside the walls and try to lure some more outside and kill them. Then I went around and knocked out all 4 turrents and turned off the outside tower and climbed up the wall near there and took out some mechs with grenade arrows (6 in total) and finished off the rest at that end from cover with short machine gun bursts (Patience is key so as not to waste ammo) Then I just down and looted them for more bullets and went around and killed the few remaining. I also used a food buff that gave me "Take 30% less damage" which makes a big difference. I also stacked "RDA damage" buffs on my armor and weapons. It reminded me of AC Odyssey which seemed incredibly hard at first especially taking out mercenaries and Cult soldiers but once I figured out how the armor, weapons, and other buffs worked it got a whole lot easier. Play smarter not harder .....

What I always do is wait and then single out lone soldiers first. Focusing on one's on a different level in a base (like higher on walkways or lower being on the ground). Then I single out the soldiers nearer AMP suits, and once there's yellow, I move to a different section of the base. I would not suggest trying to rush them as yeah, you would get killed a LOT lmao, it's so much easier to pick off the easy ones, then do the AMP suits last for me anyways. I use the same method for the no walls bases too, taking out the soldiers on the outer most walk routes.

|| Once you reach the upper plains and get the ability to fly on an ikran there, I'd suggest going and finding all of the big tarsu flowers that unlock special abilities for you as I'm sure there's a ancestor ability to be able to see the paths that they take, much like how the wildlife scents work. That's a big game changer for stealth. ||

I would also suggest going around and touching bellsprigs and the tarsu saplings all in kinglor using map genies interactive map for the game as soon as you get your ikran, as that's what I did and I really needed all of those. It was so good to have a lot of health.

When dealing with no walls bases, look around the area for things you can kinda hide behind or use to get closer, or a height advantage. Rocks, trees, etc. This'll allow you to get close to lone soldiers, take them out, then move out of the area to avoid the AMP suits if they go yellow

#

I also find that as long as you make a kill that isn't being looked at, like a soldier yellow but on his own, and others come across his body, they don't go to red. It does take a LOT of practice, for me it did anyways as even though I'm on low difficulty, this is my first proper combat focused game that I've ever played that's a fps type. The only game I've ever played prior was horizon zero dawn for a bit just to prep with how you handle shooting stuff as I just play cozy games. 🤣

I'd definitely recommend looking at how you get better Recipes too, especially for the bows if you use them rather than the guns. After it took me 2 days to finish the laser ore processor (I kept getting stuck on the 2nd checkpoint over and over and over again, yet never died at any other stage in the base), you get the best heavy bow in the game, and I mostly use heavy bow out of all the stuff. As you continue, and also do the various collectibles and stuff, you'll get really good recipes like doing sarentu totems gives you some REALLY good exquisite recipes that you can craft using exquisite materials, that boosted me up so much in stats and the combat level. From about a 10 to a 16. Always do side missions too, as those rewards are good. Definitely recommend doing the collectibles and such.

I usually try and play it safe, go after one or two big targets and then hide behind spaces & pop out to take out foes, try and pick them off individually rather than taking them as a horde

Yeah, taking them out when they're a hoard is really difficult. You also definitely need to spend some time grabbing your best crafting recipes and making the best gear, or finding it

#

If you are a user of the heavy bow, go do the laser ore processor (took me 2 days on low/story mode bc I kept dying in the 2nd section), once you've done it you get the best heavy bow in the game
