it does tho?
[Reply to:](#1294768664008065109 message) they dont tell anyone it exists anywhere on here, and if you look the second half of that part menti…
Like, i guess sure, they could add it to the rules to add extra visablity, but no one reads those anyways lol
So then they @ a moderator or another staff member? thats how most servers do their stuff and even then use some common sense
Heck, when I started contacting staff to report players I was told to message mod mail and was taught the basics by a moderator.
there is not a single place that users will consistently look.
[Reply to:](#1294768664008065109 message) that is a member list, while a member list exists, not everyone inherently looks there to search for…
and none of those attemps have worked. it is why they ended up having to add a comand that people in the know could use to tell other people where to look
[Reply to:](#1294768664008065109 message) they have made many attempts to make extra visibility for the game broken part, so i dont see why th…
Yeah this server isnt that big tho and if they dont respond ping a card creator or someone else with a higher role or heck even just ask members everyone will tell you its mod mail and the server has been open for years and YET NEVER has there been a suggestion abt this cause no one has had issues with mod mail
i mean, that helps if you join, but 15 thousend people arnt going to see that
but yeah, as I said. adding a note about modmail to the rules could help
maybe
it couldnt hurt at least
no it isnt
Yeah 15k people yet the chat is dead and no one is very active yes they arent but they can still help you and tell you where to go if you yourself arent bright enough to figure it out granted i do agree it should be in rules
or a seperate channel
But there has never been issues with our current system
it is what i said, you said something completly difrent
ah, It seems i missed a single word in that message, my appoligies
Water has been in the server for longer, he just occasionally leaves the server
yeah OUR
Im leaving the server cause of personal drauma
Ive been in here for longer than you and counting the times ive left
#welcome message
[Reply to:](#1294768664008065109 message) Water has been in the server for longer, he just occasionally leaves the server
Notice how no one has ever mentioned this issue tho?
Well yeah no it deffo cant hurt granted
It would be easier if they made a seperate channel for it
With instructions
Because its genuinely not needed since most people know how the system works
Not rlly
They can just add a channel and make the rules in there for mod mail and have a ticket syste,
Yeah except mod mail would not be 2 systems
It would still be the same bot
😭
what
Yeah a ticket system WITH MODMAIL
and have rules
For how to use modmail
???
Do you not know how discord bots work?
Well as far as im aware modmail also has a setting that allows it to be an embed you click on it and it redirects you to where you need to go to actually access it aka DMS so no your experience is wrong 🤷♂️
Yeah which is still a ticket
Its technically an intergration ticket
But at this point you are arguing to argue cause i already said it was a good idea just not needed
The staffing is fine they cant be in vc and or chat 24/7 they have lives they dont get paid to be on discord
it is mentioned in dev rule 3 that before this server, there was a terrible community. i believe that this server is slowly turning into the same thing due to how freely people are allowed to be toxic. these suggestions would help limit that.
lol
toxicity is not rampant here, and you have no idea what the server before was
i'll admit staff has become inactive, but there's also not a lot of need for staff, the server is mostly good by itself
we've gone through waves of genuine toxicity (waves of homophobia or general insensitivity), but lately it has not been bad
i see other discord servers with 20+ staff members and it always ends up the same, people have lives and need to detach from discord a bit. if the server isn't struggling because of it, it's a non issue
also why i'm mostly unresponsive on people asking for the help role, because it's just not needed. we don't get that many tickets anymore
same deal with mods, there's not a lot that requires mod action
i'm not against pointing people to <@&972262776837910542> in the rules though
yeah, i troll through vc chats somewhat often
i also check message logs for anything inappropriate
if staff were hanging out in these vcs, it wouldn't happen for obvious reasons. everyone's on edge in those scenarios
there were always options, like messaging staff directly or simply asking in #general
since like, right now lol
and a lot of owners prefer people not to enter their dms (going so far as to ignore everyone who does, and sometimes ban them)
some staff have their stance in their bio. if i were against it, it'd be in mine
the rules are already far too big imo, and i have always wanted to avoid creating a big list of legal jargon to get the point across
if someone were going to get banned for dming the owner, then the community isn't worth being in anyways
