As per the title.
I have used the commands given on spicetify.app website, but I cannot seem to access the Marketplace or any of the mods to work.

When I use spicetify apply (as per the troubleshoot guide) to show the marketplace in sidebar, it gives an error stating this (last screenshot):
spicetify v2.42.10 open /Users/pranavkdupati/.local/state/spicetify/Backup: no such file or directory

@lethal fable Try running spicetify backup apply

ls -a /Users/pranavkdupati/.local/state/spicetify

spicetify path all

ls -a /Users/pranavkdupati/.config/spicetify

Yeah it's supposed to make a dir Backup there

For some reason it insists on making it in ~/.local/state/spicetify which doesn't exist.

AFAIK it isn't a clunky installation experience on Windows. But its weird on macOS for some reason...

Maybe try making the directory yourself?

#

mkdir -p ~/.local/state/spicetify

i'll manually make it then, i guess

If term gives permission denied your Finder won't have permissions either

Ah, probably a Mac thing

#

Try spicetify backup apply now

That's okay

Yeah it's an oddity then... It wants to write to a directory it doesn't have permissions to by default

#

And it requires TouchID to grant permission... At least on your system

and now the spicetify apply command works

#

Great. I can now see the marketplace.

Thanks @peak bronze for the help! ❤️
