#Spotify closes itself after installing spicetify

I have installed spotify using AUR and then used it for ~1 minute. After installing spicetify it starts but then instantly closes.

When i do spicetify restore backup it works again but then ofcourse spicetify doesnt work

I'm having the same issue can't seem to find a way to revert my version of spotify back to it's previous one

You need to restart computer and run the installer again. That fixed mine.

happens to me as well I get hit with a sigsegv only when spicetify is applied

From the github issue I see it is technically not spicetify's fault somehow but if it only affects spicetify is there any hope they would do something about this?

Issue is solved for me by using a lower spotify version

dont forget to exclude spotify from auto.update if your OS has something like that
