Dynamic colour from album art

Hi! I currently use the text theme, and wanted to customise it to use dynamic colors, similarly to DribbblishDynamic. I realised there is a "Change colours based on album art" setting, but it doesn't seem to do anything ?
It's ticked, I checked localStorage and the value is "true", but no colours are being changed and no <style> element seems to be changed either.
Is there something I'm missing ?

I tried overwriting the xpui.app.spotify.com/extensions/marketplace/extension.js via devtools but the overload doesn't work so I couldn't debug much further :/

Theme doesn't need to support it. It's marketplace setting that themes do not need to particularly follow

yup I got that, but either way the CSS vars aren't being updated on album change :/ that's the issue I have, but I might just make it an extension myself at least ill be able to debug it better -- was asking in case it was a known issue etc
