#Issues with Beautiful Lyrics and Hazy Theme

Good evening, I need help. I've had the spicetify for a few weeks and so far everything has been fine. I put the Hazy theme, the Beautiful Lyrics extension and the kitten that sleeps on the bar. Until today I haven't had any problems, but today I received a notice that Beautiful Lyrics had automatically updated and since then the lyrics simply disappeared and they don't come back even if I uninstall and reinstall the extension. Also, my Hazy theme is also having some issues. I had configured the album cover of the song I'm listening to appear in the background of spotify a little blurred and when the music changed the background changed automatically. As of today, it doesn't switch automatically. If I reinstall the theme it changes but as soon as I change the music the theme remains the same and does not update. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I installed hazy and it seems to be fine

#

it might be something else possible

#

if you go to the lyrics page does it show the lyrics there?

inland radish
mental glade
#

ok so this is an issue with it retriveing the lyrics then

#

give me one moment gotta figure something out

#

can you go to your terminal and run "spicetify apply enable-devtools"

inland radish
#

done

mental glade
#

now click on the three dots in the top left

#

and go to develop

#

and developer tools

#

and that should open those

inland radish
#

done

mental glade
#

alright go to the application tab and delete the beautiful lyrics cache:

#

once you do that go to the console tab and load another song and then load get up again

inland radish
#

done

mental glade
#

alright so just confirming:

  • You deleted the cache
  • Then you switched to the console tab (and you are currently on that tab)
  • Then you loaded another song
  • Then you went back and loaded Get Up
inland radish
#

yes

mental glade
#

alright can you screenshot everything you can in the console

inland radish
#

is it this?

mental glade
#

YEP!

#

thank you

#

🙏

#

one more thing I would like you to do

#

can you go to the network tab

#

and press the XHR/Fetch sub-tab

inland radish
#

done

mental glade
#

and look for anything

#

that is red

#

if there isn't a ton of requests you can just screenshot them all

#

for example find requests that match this

#

although they might not appear there actually 😬

#

good thing is - it's not a lyrics issue - it's getting the track information that is

inland radish
#

i think i did it, but none of them matched

mental glade
#

nah that makes sense, I forgot these requests are made in a way where we cant see them

inland radish
#

also i have like 11 of these in red, is it normal?

mental glade
#

no its not normal but something wrong is going on when you specifically are asking Spotify for the track information

#

so I'm trying to figure out what specifically is causing it

inland radish
#

okok

mental glade
#

alright so this is a spotify error but what I'm going to try and do is make it retry the request and we'll see if that fixes it

#

going to do that now and push out an update

#

I'll let you know when we should retry it

inland radish
#

okay, thank you!!

#

it's weird because somehow it's affecting both the theme and the lyrics :/

mental glade
#

how is it affecting the theme?

#

just curious

inland radish
#

I have the Hazy theme and it was set to change the background to a blurred version of the cover of the album I'm listening to and the background would change according to it. Since today the background simply does not change. I tried reinstalling the theme and changing the settings but it still gets stuck.

#

As instance, it was supposed to be red in the background

#

but its stuck on the first song i listened to

mental glade
#

I'm assuming its because of this

#

addedNodes.matches not a function

#

@tranquil vault I think you're the Hazy guy so I'm just @ing you about this bug

mental glade
#

@inland radish can you restart spotify?

#

it should auto-update immediately

#

or you can also just rerun the devtools command

#

we will need to open that console back up again though

inland radish
mental glade
#

what version did it say it was on

#

just to make sure auto-updated to the right one

inland radish
mental glade
#

ok perfect

#

are any of the lyrics loading?

inland radish
#

they were loading for some songs but it stopped loading

#

this one has them

mental glade
#

can you open up the console again and screenshot everything you can from it

inland radish
#

but not this one

mental glade
#

alright so looks like it didnt want to retry again so that must be a bug in my implementation

#

will check up on that

#

alright @inland radish can you restart Spotify for me again - it should be on 3.1.3.1

inland radish
#

okay, it did update

#

but still the same issue :/

mental glade
#

yeah I wasn't really expecting it to fix it, but there should be new stuff in the console

inland radish
#

oh okay, i'm gonna screenshot it

mental glade
#

or actually - lemme ask: Buzzcut Season from Heroine Album?

inland radish
#

yeah

mental glade
#

yeah so I don't think there's anything I can do unfortuantely; Spotify is completely stonewalling you for some reason and is making every request a 500 (which means their servers are having issues)

inland radish
#

sad life, but thank you anyway!

#

maybe i'll try reinstalling everything again

mental glade
#

only question I have is what country are you from?

#

reinstalling might work

inland radish
#

thank you for your time!!!

mental glade
#

yeah definitely not a country issue so who knows why Spotify is having problems - I appreciate your cooperation thank you!

#

sorry I couldn't get this fixed for ya
