anyone know whats up with that? i've tried all fixes listed in #faq-guides and the gh page and it says working yet never applies. im guessing im doing something wrong here?

Define latest. What version of Spotify broke it?
Downgrading and disabling updates should work though.

Spicetify should support that version. Are you using the Microsoft Store version of Spotify, perhaps? Spicetify doesn't fully support it. If you're not using that, you may need to reinstall Spicetify
