Update spotify and spicetify

How do i update spotify with spicetify? I tried spicetify update, but that apparently only reapplies/updates the settings

update spotify normally with installer/internal upgrade

then apply spicetify

with the following command:

spicetify backup apply

as for spicetify update:

spicetify upgrade
