i make ~10min videos w voiceover and i wanna make them more interesting/less boring?

info (pinpoint questions below): basically my videos are very much me going into great depth about a certain character lore from a video game voiced over related video game clips and idk if it’s just bc i’ve been editing and replaying my own voice like 10 times but i just feel like it’s not interesting enough idk

questions:

• do u think editing by itself can make a video more interesting and engaging?
• are there any forms of editing (tutorials w AE or otherwise) that keep ur eyes on the screen essentially?
• is there any more info or tips u can give me about this outside of just making the editing more interesting ahaha in case i’m not seeing outside of my own brain rn??

for the record this isn’t stats related at all ahaha it’s just my own judgement of ME WATCHING MYSELF i feel like it’s lacking idk 😭😭

I think your personality is what is most interesting and engaging. The creators that are blowing up have one thing in common – authenticity. Viewers gravitate to creators they can relate to and get to know on an almost personal level.

Retention editing is less important these days. Just be you 🙂

Yes editing itself can make it interesting, use a lot of b-roll stock footage

that you have the rights for of course
