In my opinion, the thumbnail doesn't really stand out. The text is hard to read and the colors are a bit too confusing. Also, I think the best way to make a good thumbnail in a video where you sacrifice a piece in chess is to add the brilliant sign! Look up chess videos about sacrifices and you'll find that most of them have the brilliant blue sign in the thumbnail.
