Jon and Nick Nimmin both mentioned Opus Clips at Vidsummit so I checked it out briefly. I was a bit skeptical but I'm pretty impressed.
My long-form sponsor interviews are pretty dry/technical topics (housing policy, permitting, contract negotiation) so I have a hard time getting some spicier intro clips that will give people a reason to watch.
I tried doing it manually like I always do (which takes about 20 minutes and my brain is fried because I've already conducted the interview and watched it multiple times). I asked Opus to pull clips. Opus did a better job than me at finding a good intro clip with some hook and some bigger language.
The shorts themselves haven't done great on tiktok, shorts or reels, but the software found a good intro hook for my longform which is great.
Anybody else have best practices? Good use cases? Ways to set the parameters so the shorts are better performing out of the box?
