The type would just be card. There isn't a debit/credit designation on the Payment Method object.
Are you talking about using Terminal?
Or using a web form?

Ah, yeah. It would be debit in that case, assuming we receive that information back from the issuing bank. Unfortunately there isn't much of a consistent standard between banks when it comes to data transmission, so we can't really guarantee there won't be edge-cases where a debit card has funding: credit, but that should be fairly uncommon
