You'll have to expand the transfers drop down to see the cross border transfers section. it doesn't automatically expand for some reason

So there is no way for us to send money to our users in the US using Stripe?

#

If we can't do business with express accounts outside our region, why do you let us create express accounts in the first place?

#

🧐 😅

I recommend reading up on the effects using on_behalf_of has though

#

Just so you aren't surprised

We have been down this path before... this parameter doesn't work

#

but we thought it just doesn't work with the API

#

and maybe we can manually transfer funds in the dashboard

#

What do you mean it doesn't work? It doesn't fit your flow's usecase?

on_behalf_of does not work for accounts outside our region... we have been on this chat for hours and it was referred by email to your technical team. Long story short not working 😦

#

we get this in the dashboard "Transfers cannot be sent to accounts located in United States because it's outside of your platform's region. Create a destination or direct payment in order to add funds to this account's balance."

#

How can we do a direct payment in the dashboard without APIs?

It does not work with subscriptions

#

this is the answer we had from your team:

#

Hi there,

I hope all is well. Thanks for your patience while we looked into your request.

Platforms can create or update one-off invoices with on_behalf_of to make the connected account the merchant of record and use the connected account’s branding.

At this time, we don’t yet support setting on_behalf_of for subscriptions. This is something on our roadmap and we hope to make this available soon, however we do not have a timeline to share just yet. You can follow our blog for product update:
https://stripe.com/blog/product
An alternative way of creating subscription on behalf of your connected accounts is to use the direct charges flow. You can find info about subscriptions with direct charges in the following docs: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/subscriptions#direct

I'm sorry I don't have better news, but I hope the alternative suits you. I have also recorded your interest for subscriptions with on_behalf_of, for our product team. If you have any additional questions for me, please feel free to reply back and I'll be happy to help you out.

Best wishes.

With Connect, you can create subscriptions for your customers or connected accounts.

#

Do you mean with on_behalf_of we can send one off payments to our connect accounts?

fallow maple
#

Oh I didn't know you were using subscriptions

#

That does change

#

So on_behalf_of does work with subscriptions, however it's a private feature that needs to be "turned on" for your account. you'll have to write in to support to get this feature. If you are still interested, you can write in to get gated into this

warm forum
#

How can we do that?

#

Who should we write to?

fallow maple
#

You can write in at https://support.stripe.com/contact/email and request to be gated into the feature to allow on_behalf_of for subscriptions

warm forum
#

thanks very much, really appreciate it

#

how long would it take for us to have this feature available to use?

As soon as they gate you into it, you can use it immediately after
