I was hoping receive a definitive answer, but also we did some testing on our end with the DAILY spend limits, and it does seem like the refund for a tx made yesterday impacts the spend limit for today. Is there any definitive doc/answer that can confirm the behaviour for refunds with DAILY, WEEKLY, MONTHLY, YEARLY spend limits?

I don't think this is specifically documented. The definitive answer would be the API behavior you see in test mode for your scenario. Are you concerned about the behavior you're seeing in test mode?

It takes long to test the monthly, yearly behaviours, can we just rely on the behaviour we see for daily?

This is quite important for us because we maintain our own ledger, and if we codify the incorrect logic, our internal ledgers will be corrupted
