I have merchant right now running into this issue

This is generally done on the wifi router itself
either that or the device that host the PoS
So, I should have them go to the router and update DNS? A lot of people are non-technical and this is so hard for them to do.
Once they go to the router how is it done? Is it possible to share screenshots or wording that one might see to do this?

That is entirely dependent on the wifi router.
Every manufacturer has their own custom Admin interface for their routers.

The router the merchant has is not able to update DNS settings.
So, does that mean DNS has to be updateed on WisePOS E and Windows PC?
How do you update DNS on WisePOS E? I do not have one to go over or send exact steps to merchant

yes it says failed for DNS resolution
You can change the DNS settings on the WisePOS E itself in that case. First step is to access settings on the device: https://stripe.com/docs/terminal/payments/setup-reader/bbpos-wisepos-e#settings
So it is not needed to be updated on Windows PC?
Then go to Network, tap on the (i) next to the connected network, and scroll to the bottom to add custom DNS settings.
Only if the Windows PC is having DNS issues as well.
