Stripe Apps are a new product that allows you to create Apps that can be accessed directly from a Stripe Dashboard

The partner Directory is for third parties that provide services that you can integrate.

That said, some partners are building Apps as well

#

Partners are essentially 3rd parties that we have verified for use with Stripe.

Apps is extremely new... just launched in the past month.

#

Apps will also go through an approval process before being available to be downloaded.

I'm not sure I understand.

It means you are offering a service that you want Stripe users to utilize.

And perhaps you would charge something to use your service

Not really? Once again I'm not really sure what you mean by that. The partner builds their own feature that is compatible with Stripe.

Got it. And one more question. How does Bigcommerce make stripe plugin available on their platform?
Does the Bigcomm platform add stripe API code to their platform or embed stripe UI to make the plugin available?

I don't remember exactly if Bigcommerce is a Connect Platform or if they are a plugin.

Yes Magento is one of our Connectors. They are a plugin where you provide your API Key to the Magento plugin
