Okay so when you say "the funds remain in their app account", what does that mean exactly?

Ok.. I have an app and buyers add funds to their app a/c - stripe is my payment gateway.

Ah okay so they make a payment via Stripe in order to add funds to your app's balance for that customer.

I refund them through Stripe but the $ amount remains in their app balance.. ugh

Gotcha. In that case you control the app UI for that balance completely. There is nothing on Stripe's side here that impacts what you show for the customer balance in your app.

So you need to write code in order to sync that balance to when you issue refunds

#

But you control that completely from your end — Stripe has nothing to do with that part of your app
