Hey!
Correct, ACH Debit was rebuilt to use Payment Intents. However that API still uses Charges under the hood
The Charge object itself is a reflection of the actual payment. The Payment Intent is just a state machine
I'd recommend switching to the PI events in this instance
So, my question is "Is it normal for having no Invoice ID in charge.failed event?"
Can you share anevt_xxxID?
yeah to me that's a bug, the data should be consistent and that Charge does belong to an Invoice
you can technically go up a level charge.payment_intent.invoice by retrieving the payment_intent field, and that appears to be set; but you shouldn't have to. I'll see if we have a report of this already and file the bug. Feel free to reach out to https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true to report to and be kept up to date on if this changes
Got it. I will report to that channel also. So, is it possible to me to track the status of the bug? Like when will it be fixed? If it later than our launch date, I will use the interim solution you tell me or consider switching to PI event.
I found an internal bug report for this that was filed two weeks ago and bumped it again for you, so we at least know it exists(it helps if you write in too since it carries more weight to come from that channel , especially since your account has a sales relationship with us)
