Hello! Are you referring to having two connect accoutns (one for each business) attached to one platform stripe account? Or do you really mean you have one stripe account for both of your businesses?

Two connected accounts. I have a membership site and a design agency. It's one business with two channels, however, I need to separate the data to get a more accurate picture of both.

#

In quick books, it comes over together as one stripe payment.

#

Hello Karbi. Thanks for helping.

Gotcha - and to get this data into quickbooks are you relying on some third-party plugin?

Yes

Have you talked to the plugin writers asking this question? Since Stripe has no control over how the plugin is implemented, I'm not sure what fields they're looking at, so it's difficult to suggest solutions that may not even be relevant to their integration. If you talk to the people who wrote/support the plugin they'll have a better idea of how to use their plugin in a way that fits your use case

It's not really about the plug in. Let's take them out of the equation.

#

How can I get better reports from Stripe when I have two streams of income. Is there anyway in stripe to have better ways of utilizing two different streams of revenue.

Taking the plugin out of the equation, it depends on the kind of connect accounts you're working with/type of charges you're making - if you're working with custom/express accounts and all the payments are first going through your platform, we offer reports that include the connected account ID so you can differentiate which account was involved

#

But really, it depends on what kind of reports you're looking for, what your integration does, etc.

#

I need to head out, but if you any other questions @obtuse dagger can help

" if you're working with custom/express accounts and all the payments are first going through your platform, we offer reports that include the connected account ID so you can differentiate which account was involved"

#

Yes. That's the case. How do I find the Id?

#

Can I use Sub-Accounts?

#

For instance. The 8.50 is for mighty networks. The 533.75 is form Dubsado

There are many different ways to do this. What is the final product that you want? Do you want a report? If so, what do you want in the report?

I need to know what identifies the two different streams. In addition, if I can let quickbooks understand the different streams, that would be helpful also.

#

Also, if I need to have to separate them out into sub-accounts or different accounts, that could work also, as long as I'm not charged an arm and a leg

I think this is more of a support question. We don't really handle Dashboard reports or their corresponding elements. I would recommend reaching out to them, as this chat is focused on developers and technical questions. Our support team will be able to assist you better than I can: https://support.stripe.com/contact/email
