basically, i'm creating a stripe connect link right now
when you go through the stripe connect process to link the connect partner
it doesn't detect any of my businesses and I have to for some reason keep creating new ones
this doesn't seem to be an issue with test mode stripe connect

So you're the Connect platform? And you're creating an Account Link? Or something else?

it's inconsistent too by the way, i've done this before earlier today with the same account. is there a limit to how many times the same account can be linked to a connect platform?

One account can only be connected to another once. You can disconnect and then reconnect an unlimited number of times though.
With Account Links you create the connected account first, then create an Account Link to complete onboarding. I'm not sure why the existing businesses are a factor, but maybe I'm misunderstanding? Can you share the code you're using to create the Account and Account Link?

ahh, so it can only be done once? that should explain it
for existing businesses, i meant like an existing account i had, it kept prompting me to create a new business via the accountlink rather than just use an existing one

If you're trying to connect to an existing Stripe account you wouldn't use Account Links.
