Yes, that is correct. Based on the image you've attached, I don't think there's a way to mark a transaction differently (ie. marking a refund as a charge)

In that case you'd use the metadata property as mentioned previously.

We are implementing a gift card system for B2B network, and for financial/accountability reasons, I need to mark the payment that the company do for buy gift card bundle ( for employees ) that are coming from gift card flow
