A customer object can have multiple payment methods, but only one default payment method.
If you notice that a subscription invoice is failing, then technically you could be try a different payment method yes.
Will stripe mark it suspicious and block the account?

The payment may get declined, but I don't see whay it would look suspicious. However I'm just a developer, so I don't really know. So you could ask Stripe suppor instead.
