Yah. that's the problem. We want to have connected accounts all over the world

it's possible, you'd want to use destination charges with on_behalf_of parameter set

so the payee is now having to handle refunds and the payer doesn't know about the platform

when you use on_behalf_of - the merchant of record shows as the connected account, but you as the platform still have control over handling refunds

Then two things: Can you point to docs on handling refunds with on_behalf_of and that the connected account is the merchant of record effectively means that the paying person won't see our name anywhere. Right?

When I tried this, I saw the generated invoice as coming from the connected account, and not the platform. Which is something we'd like to avoid, if possible

ah i see what you mean, you still want to be the MoR but be able to transfer funds to connected accounts that are not based in the same region

Unfortunately it's not going to be possible right now due to concerns / restrictions for cross border money flows 😅

So the only options would be
a) to charge directly and handle the cross border flow ourselves via our bank account when the money arrives.
b) open a US-based stripe account to use cross border payouts
c) try to find a competitor that does it 😄
