1/ You could have either. It pretty much depends on what your integration looks like and how it is utilizing coupons/promo codes
2/ Like creating unique promo codes?

1. Yes was wondering if there was a restriction on # of promo codes for a coupon, in my case could have 1 coupon and a promo code for each user
2. Yes for the promo code instead of being a random string

2/ I'm not sure to be honest. let me check.

For 2/, the dashboard does check for duplicate promo codes when created for the same coupon

so I'd assume it does the same with the API, but I'd recommend testing it out first to make sure

Got it - and if I wanted to restrict the reward to a specific customer, is that set on the coupon or the code?
