what do you mean exactly? We use the payment element for purchases

we use destination charges for the US connected accounts on our platform and those are all express accounts

I meant which payment UIs are you processing with, but sounds like you build your own with Elements

when i update the unfinalized invoice with an on_behalf_of property, i get an error saying i cant update an invoice created by a subscription,
Can you share the request ID for this API call you made?

Yeah, that won't work unfortunately. Generally on_behalf_of subscriptions are possible, but they're just not enabled on your account

What I'd recommend is contacting support, explaining your use case and that you want to do OBO subscriptions for Express accounts and hopefully they can get you setup: https://support.stripe.com/contact
