for some reason, in Chromium, some stripe calls were blocked or just stalled so my webapp was endlessly loading in the background. Most of the stuff worked so far (even Stripe itself) but some other stuff didn't work (like a sidebar toggle)

@quaint minnow suggested that it could be extensions blocking stripe requests but eventually I found that killing chromium processes and restarting it worked

it was weird because in incognito mode and FF everything was working smoothly

clearing cache wasn't of help too
