Hi there 👋 apologies for the delay. When looking at our page about Alipay, I see that the Recurring payments field says that it requires approval and links to our support team. Have you contacted Support already?

Yes. The account in question has already gone through a verification process to get recurring payments enabled.

Sorry, but due to the restricted nature of that functionality, our support team is the best suited to assist with this so I would recommend you follow up with them.

When you do, I would recommend that you emphasize that you're doing this for a scenario that leverages Connect, to ensure the functionality is fully enabled for those scenarios. If you can also provide Support with specific request IDs that encountered the error you're referring to, that will aid them in helping you.

@idle umbra can you do anything to streamline a proper response to my support ticket privately? We're Stripe Partners, and for years and 100s of tickets, I find it impossible to get your support to provide the proper documented technical responses our team needs. We specifically deal with Alipay/WeChat, and those are nothing but transparent. It makes our partnership really hard, and I'm considering axing the whole thing because of the logistical cost of simply getting the answers we need. Nothing against you here - just really need the proper support from your company and the email, live chat, and phone reps have little idea what they're doing when it comes to our integrations with those payment methods.

I literally go back and forth for hours and days and don't get the right response. I go through 5 confused team members before getting to the right person.
