I didn't know if there's much of a difference between Coupon and PromotionCode.. I suppose PromotionCodes can only be used so many times, rght? But just previewing the invoice won't effect that count, since I'm not actually attaching the PromotionCode to the Subscription until they confirm payment

correct it won't count. It's just a weird limitation that we don't have promotion code support on that API. I just bumped the internal jira for it again :p
